Not only were the Hungarian dance and music wonderful, the festival also taught me one great lesson. Well… the long story short, one of the folk dancers kept trying to make eye contact with me. Although I don’t consider myself shy, I felt uncomfortable at her staring and I redirected my gaze. It turns out she was looking for volunteers from the audience to join them! Man… that would have been THE PERFECT way to create an unforgetable memory in Hungary!
