On the way to the next town, I stopped at a restaurant called, Solier Café in Godollo. I ordered chicken with pea puree and mushroom velvet. The dish was solid – rock solid. Even with my limited experience, I could tell the chef was self-assured with his culinary expression – s/he was not shy about revealing the dish’s strengths and shortcomings. Of course, not everything was perfect, but the chef somehow turned the dish’s weaknesses into something I could appreciate.

Beer was great and service was top-notch. On top of that, even the background music was perfect. With two desserts, I must’ve consumed 2,700 calories in that single sitting; but I did not regret one single calorie! I sat there truly enjoying life. It was as if things coalesced to tell me the secrets of the universe. Ha! of course, I jest. But god… I love life.
