‘Nah, I can get away with the shorts I brought,’ I decided to wear my gym shorts and it turned out to be a poor decision. For one, I wore white shorts (which became almost transparent when they got wet) and a pair of dark underwear.
Lessons to you can learn from my mistake:
(1) If you’re planning to swim, don’t forget to bring swimming pants/suits.
(2) If shorts are your only option, try to wear dark ones or at least, match the colors of swimming shorts and underwear.
Here I am drying my wet clothes like a hobo:

What I learned from Winnie the Sauerkraut:
LESSON #1: Unless you are driving one now, do not drive a manual car in unfamiliar places
LESSON #2: When you rent a car in Europe, make sure it has an automatic transmission
LESSON #3: If you want to try a traditional Hungarian dish (which I highly recommend), use Google (Yelp hasn’t penetrated the market yet). But more importantly, make sure you don't rent a manual car.
